The Night Kristen Leu Came Back

18839206_10155173987366125_5746194349352287684_nOn Thursday June 1st, Brian Erickson was joined on stage by former Paper Jet Kristen Leu for the first time in seven years! Brian was tapped to lead an ensemble of area musicians in a front-to-back performance of The Beatles’ iconic Sgt Pepper album in honor of its 50th Anniversary. Leu joined the group on piano and vocals.

Leu was a member of The Paper Jets from 2009 – 2010, joining the group shortly after their first album Face Forward came out. She appears on the band’s now out-of-print Bored In Town concert film but never made it onto a studio recording.

The full lineup included the following local musicians:

Anthony Carrera – sitar

Brian Erickson – vocals, guitar

Dallas Hosey – lead guitar

Will Hosey – bass

Bruce Krywinski Jr – trumpet

Brian Lawrence – trombone

Keith Leming – drums

Kristen Leu – vocals, keys

Ryan Weil – percussion, drums, vocals

Anthony Xerri – backing vocals

The event was produced by Bob Makin for Makin Waves.

Produced by Frank

a1332863630_10Lemonade Lemonade, the new EP by Trenton dance-rock quintet Meeko Brando, is here and it was recorded/produced by our very own Frank Lettieri Jr at Aurora Studios.

Featuring the lead single, “Uh,” early reviews are quite positive with 2Guys1Review calling it “astonishing,” and praising Lettieri’s tight, even-handed production.

You can download the new EP via Meeko Brando’s Bandcamp page on a name-your-price basis.

Surprise! Frank to Drop a Solo Record

frank_hatOur drummer Frank Lettieri Jr recently took to Facebook to announce the release of Analog Mind Bender, his first full-length in five years! The LP will be credited to Dust of Days, the moniker under which Lettieri has been writing, performing, and releasing music for over a decade.

The album was recorded at Pachyderm Studios (where In Utero was famously captured) and mastered by Bob Ludwig. It features former touring Paper Jet Jim McGee (who spent the first half of 2012 with the band) and will be released by frequent collaborator Jeff Fiedler’s Aqualung Records on Friday August 4, 2017.
