On October 26th, Asbury Park-via-New York’s venerable local music publication Speak Into My Good Eye released its third annual 24-Hour Songwriting Challenge compilation. It features the track, “One Day Kate,” written by one-time Paper Jet Tim Ryan.

The song was demoed by Ryan in 2010 but never properly recorded as Ryan hadn’t yet completed lyrics or arrangement. The nature of the SIMGE challenge was to write and record a song within 24 hours, so when The Paper Jets got the call to contribute something, this unfinished Ryan song seemed the perfect candidate.
