Band Hints at Long Break in Interview

During an interview leading up to the release of Everyday Forever, Brian Erickson and Frank Lettieri Jr. dropped a pretty big bomb: The Paper Jets may well be through after the record comes out. Erickson asks sardonically, “Who is just dying to see us tour and release records? Sometimes you’ve gotta just say ‘no thanks’ and shut the lights out for a bit.”

Lettieri takes a more level-headed approach “I don’t believe this is the end of The Paper Jets. This hiatus will hopefully allow us to come back at some point in the future with new songs and sounds.”

Our drummer Frank Lettieri Jr was recently interviewed by Vents Magazine as he gets set to release his new Dust of Days full-length.

He talks about the origin of album’s attention-grabbing title, the inspiration behind the songwriting and how he changed up his usual process, as well as working at Pachyderm, the world-class studio where Nirvana recorded their In Utero album.

Along the way, Frank reveals certain aspects of “love and suffering” that bore some of the record’s most poignant moments as well as future plans (including the possibility of the first Dust of Days east coast tour dates in nearly five years)! READ THE INTERVIEW HERE!

Brian stopped by 90.5 The Night: Brookdale Public Radio to talk with Megan O’Shea about the band’s new album, the recent Asbury Music Awards, and how the New Jersey music and arts scene has continued to foster positivity within its ranks. He performs two new songs, “Charlie It Can’t Be Done,” and “Chatter,” and discusses the influence that local bands had on The Paper Jets’ sound this time around. He also reveals the one song he wishes he had written.

I Gave You My All, the debut full-length by Princeton, NJ singer/songwriter Jesse Elliot will be coming out on Saturday June 13th! The album – nearly two years in the making – features Paper Jet Frank Lettieri Jr on drums, former touring member Jim McGee on lead guitar and was produced by Jets singer/guitarist Brian Erickson. The Paper Jets rocked the stage at West Chester University’s Aid to South Africa event last Sunday, and we’d like to take the time to thank them for having us. It was a great event for a great cause, and we hope we helped you reach your goal! Now, for those of you who couldn’t make it, we’ve got a special treat for you: a live video of another brand new song from We Are All Strange Friends! This time, we’ll be sharing the full-band version of “I Said, ‘You Don’t,'” which you may remember as an acoustic demo we posted on our Facebook page several months ago. Well, here you are, one step closer to the final studio recording!

In addition, our new single, “Cooking Up an Accident” was recently featured on the Faronheit blog! They’ve been great to us over there, debuting our two singles from Sorta Bored and generally being cool-ass dudes. Hopefully, we can get out to your neck of the woods and play a show soon!
